by 슈퍼리치항해사 2022. 4. 18.

If you’re worried about the safety of your trip, one way to prepare for it and get some peace of mind is to take out HSBC Premier Travel Insurance. If you’re planning on traveling across the country or even internationally, there are a lot of things to think about and prepare for, from booking your tickets to planning your itinerary and packing everything you need in your luggage or carry-on bag. The last thing you want to worry about during your vacation is getting sick or injured, especially if that means missing out on something you’ve been looking forward to all year.

HSBC Premier Worldwide

If you’re traveling from North America, you may have access to a unique benefit — travel insurance. Each HSBC Premier credit card and HSBC Advance Mastercard includes complimentary, travel insurance for certain trip costs including those for unexpected events and emergency medical evacuation. While it may not be as robust as some travel health insurance plans that are often included with comprehensive overseas coverage; however, it can still be extremely useful in an emergency situation or disaster that has occurred during your time overseas. If a life-threatening emergency occurs during your time abroad, these cost coverages could prove valuable in helping you secure transportation home where treatment can occur immediately instead of potentially waiting days or weeks while other means of returning home are investigated.

You can also review our website for further information on topics such as claims processing and supplemental benefits. How Does It Work?

One thing most insurance providers do not offer is full disclosure about how their product works. HSBC’s travel insurance, however, does include a comprehensive coverage guide that explains all of its features. It includes details about each type of coverage and whether or not any exclusions apply. If you have questions about your specific trip, you can also call their customer service department to ask for clarification on anything from cancellation requirements to medical plan coverage amounts. It’s important to fully understand what you are paying for and exactly what is covered in order to avoid any unexpected surprises while traveling abroad.

International Medical Expenses Coverage

If you’re traveling outside of your home country and become ill or injured, medical expenses are going to be a significant concern. If you have no travel insurance and are forced to pay out-of-pocket for these costs, it’s quite possible that an illness or injury will ruin your entire trip. In general, it’s a good idea to purchase travel insurance when traveling internationally. Fortunately, there is international medical coverage in HSBC Premier Travel Insurance USA that helps protect travelers abroad against unexpected out-of-pocket costs associated with healthcare services; whether it be an emergency room visit or even an ambulance ride back to their hotel room.

Trip Interruption Protection

If your trip is canceled, delayed, or interrupted due to a covered reason (see below), you may be eligible for coverage up to $5,000 per person. * Trip Delay Protection: If your trip is delayed at least 6 hours and you have to extend your stay by at least one night due to a covered reason (see below), you may be eligible for coverage up to $500 per person. * Emergency Medical & Dental Benefit: You will receive up to $100 toward medical expenses arising from an injury or illness that occurs while traveling away from home if it results in medical treatment in excess of what would normally be available. Some examples include dental treatment or outpatient services following an injury.

Emergency Medical Evacuation/Repatriation

In addition to covering expenses for any emergencies that happen in your destination, HSBC Premier Travel Health also offers coverage for medical evacuation and repatriation. The policy covers you and your family when you need to be medically evacuated from an overseas hospital to a medical facility in your home country or region of residence. It also covers costs if you need to return to your home country because of a critical illness or accident. Some policies include routine medical evacuations, which allow you to be flown back for care that’s considered non-urgent. For example, if something like a bad case of sunburn keeps you away from water activities but doesn’t pose a health risk or threaten your life, then routine medical evacuation may apply.

Emergency Medical Transport Assistance

If you get sick while overseas, whether it’s a long-term illness or an accident, you’re covered. The medical transport benefit covers costs of up to $100,000 for emergency medical evacuation and repatriation of remains. Repatriation is just as important as evacuation – if you’re gravely ill or injured, having someone who can speak your language can make all the difference in getting top quality treatment. With HSBC Premier Benefits, that’s covered too – at no extra cost to you.

24-Hour Worldwide Assistance Services

24-hour medical and legal referral helplines offer information and support in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin and Cantonese. They also provide contact details for police stations and hospitals worldwide. How Does HSBC Premier Compare to Other High-End Travel Insurance Plans? Last year I did a review of AIG travel insurance , but today I’m going to take a closer look at their main competitor: HSBC premier travel insurance . Since these are some of the most expensive travel insurance plans.
